Position As a Project Architect/Designer, you will lead and oversee architectural projects from conceptual development through completion. This includes ensuring that all designs align with client goals, regulatory requirements and firm standards. The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to delivering high quality work.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead project design and documentation efforts, ensuring compliance with client objectives, budget, and timeliness.
Oversee and review development of the construction documents, including technical detailing, specifications, and use of Revit.
Manage an in-house team and supervise project development to ensure overall quality and accuracy, including development and monitoring of a project work plan.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal resource teams to ensure cohesive project progress and alignment with design intent.
Primary point of contact for the client, collaborating with the Construction Administration Project Manager and Associate.
Ensure compliance with building codes, DSA (and other agency) procedures, related forms, applications, and processes.
Train and mentor team members to support their professional development.
These responsibilities are typical but not all-encompassing. Each person is expected to work collaboratively as a team and to assist in any duties required to deliver a quality product on schedule, and within the project budget and the budgeted hours provided.
Qualifications and Skillset
Accredited degree in Architecture or a related field, with equivalent education/experience.
At least 8–10 years of relevant architectural experience; experience in K‑12 public school design is a plus.
Architectural license (preferred).
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
Strong written, graphic, and verbal communication skills, and experience communicating with clients and consultants.
Knowledge of sustainable design, construction materials, engineering disciplines, and construction techniques.
Experience working collaboratively as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits Compensation is based on work experience, job-related knowledge/education, qualifications, and geographic availability to our Rocky Mountain Office in the South Denver metro area. This full‑time, salaried exempt position has a base pay range of $90,000 to $115,000 annually.
