Marketing and Communications Program Manager

Location: North Carolina, US. Position type: Full‑time Permanent. Proposed start date: February 9 2026.
Position Summary The Marketing and Communications Program Manager leads strategic and tactical marketing and communications efforts for the Friday Center, including the Friday Conference Center, community and continuing education programs, and related events. The position reports to the Director of the William & Ida Friday Center.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the Friday Conference Center and Community and Continuing Education programs.
Create and manage digital content, including website updates, social media campaigns, and e‑mail marketing.
Oversee brand management to ensure consistency across all communication channels.
Conduct market research and analyze campaign performance to inform data‑driven decisions.
Write and edit content for newsletters, press releases, promotional materials, and leadership communications.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Proven experience planning, implementing, and evaluating marketing campaigns.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a talent for crafting audience‑focused messaging.
Track record of developing and executing marketing strategies and tactical implementation.
Strong project management abilities, including follow‑through, time management, and balancing multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Familiarity with digital marketing tools and practices (Google Ads, social media, e‑mail marketing, SEO).
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, InDesign) or similar design software.
Strong analytical skills to track and evaluate campaign performance.
Experience managing third‑party vendor relationships and partnerships.
Understanding of lead generation strategies and measurable marketing results.
