Job Title: CAD Manager / Senior Designer
Location: Orlando, FL, 32810
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Create and maintain Bill of Materials for new parts and assemblies in CAD.
Ensure that fabricated parts and assembly drawings are completed on time to the project, worklog, or ECN dates.
Create and maintain all submittals, installation, and instructional drawings.
Creates and maintains drawing templates/title blocks through CAD.
Drives peer over peer review of 3D designs.
Mentor’s designers within the department.
Implement and maintain PDM Vault.
Oversee the organization and maintenance of 3D CAD files.
Create, train and enforce design standards and procedures.
Ensures that sheet metal part designs are production ready (drawings, costs, and system item data).
Creating and maintaining full sheet metal modules in the breakdowns.
Collaborate and encourage teamwork within the department.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
Manage designs through third party contractors.
Required Education
High School diploma, or equivalent (GED)
5-10 years of experience
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
Requirements/Skills/Abilities
Advanced knowledge of Sheet Metal Designs
Advanced 3D CAD software knowledge (Solid Edge or SolidWorks)
Advanced knowledge of PDM software
Advanced knowledge in GD&T
Leadership Experience
Knowledge of ECN Processes
Must be detailed oriented
Great time management skills
Communicates proficiently
Problem solving skills
