Director of Marketing Automation & Data Analytics

on the Data Analytics team, a typical day for you will include:

Marketing Automation Data Enablement Strategy:

Partner with Marketing to leverage first‑party data for marketing campaign triggers

Develop a data enablement roadmap in partnership with Marketing for future campaign unlock.

Data‑Driven Campaign Enablement:

Architect and operationalize data pipelines and integrations that power real‑time marketing triggers.

Ensure marketing campaigns are dynamically activated based on behavioral, transactional, and predictive data signals.

Partner with data engineering and IT teams to maintain data quality and latency standards for trigger‑based campaigns.

Analytics & Insights:

Lead the development of dashboards, reports, and advanced analytics to measure campaign performance and ROI.

Translate complex data into actionable strategies for marketing and business stakeholders.

Personalization & Segmentation:

Utilize first‑party and third‑party data to create dynamic audience segments and personalized experiences.

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).

Data Governance:

Work with data governance tools to ensure accuracy and visibility for broader business stakeholders.

Partner with IT on all data governance practices.

Team Leadership:

Direct the work of contractors for marketing automation data enablement.

Foster collaboration between marketing, data engineering, and IT teams.

Technology & Innovation:

Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance automation and analytics capabilities.

Drive continuous improvement in marketing operations through automation and AI‑driven insights.

Required Qualifications Bring your skills and be inspired to achieve success.

Experience:

8+ years of experience in marketing analytics and automation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience enabling data‑driven marketing triggers and event‑based campaigns.

Experience integrating marketing platforms (e.g., Braze) with cloud data warehouses and lakes (e.g., via Cloud Data Ingestion or Currents).

Experience with AI‑driven marketing personalization.

Experience implementing A/B testing and experimentation to continuously improve engagement and conversion rates.

Experience with data governance and data governance tools.

Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, or AI‑driven marketing solutions.

Knowledge of CDPs (Customer Data Platforms) and advanced segmentation strategies.

Strong understanding of attribution modeling and marketing mix analysis.

Skills:

Expertise in marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.

Hands‑on expertise in marketing automation platforms, with strong experience in Braze (required) and Broadly (highly desired).

Strong technical background in data engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines for real‑time marketing activation.

Excellent proficiency in SQL, with preference for experience in Presto or Amazon Athena.

Deep knowledge of AWS data architecture, particularly Amazon Athena, AWS Glue, S3, and related services for data ingestion, transformation, and querying.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Schedule / In‑Office Requirements:

Hybrid working model; Monday‑Wednesday in office, Thursday/Friday from home.

Competitive Pay: Commensurate with experience

Schedule: Full‑time, Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM local time zone
