About the Role: Northern Michigan University’s Alumni and Foundation Office is seeking a Digital Communications Strategist
to expand and enhance alumni engagement and fundraising initiatives through innovative digital media strategies. This role is critical in connecting NMU alumni, donors, and friends to the university through compelling, consistent, and targeted digital content. As our Digital Communications Strategist, you will develop, execute, and measure an alumni‑centric digital communications plan that includes social media, email, web, giving platforms, video assets, and other emerging channels. You will contribute creative, editorial, and production ideas while managing the day‑to‑day execution of our digital strategy, ensuring that our alumni community feels informed, engaged, and connected. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field. Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in digital communications, marketing, public relations, digital merchandising, or related fields. Proven success managing social media platforms, email and web campaigns, and digital content creation. Strong creative, editorial, and production skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
