Job Description Johnson & Johnson MedTech – Neurovascular division is seeking a Senior Manager of Global Strategic Marketing (GSM). This role can be located in Irvine, California or Galway, Ireland. The position is a hybrid schedule requiring on‑site presence 2–3 days per week. Applications across requisition numbers will be considered as a single submission.
Key Responsibilities
Identify appropriate sources of market intelligence and apply analytics to make clear, data‑based decisions.
Interface with physicians and a broad international customer base to identify market trends and unmet clinical needs for neurovascular disease.
Translate customer needs into product design requirements to develop differentiated product concepts.
Collaborate with R&D to provide customer insights during the product development cycle.
Build collaboration with cross‑functional partners including regulatory, clinical affairs, professional and commercial education, supply chain and sales teams to ensure seamless product commercial readiness.
Collaborate with global marketing partners to communicate product portfolio updates, understand local customer needs and coordinate product launches.
Identify market opportunities through synthesis of segmentation, targeting and positioning strategies, and develop sales collateral.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
MBA or equivalent preferred.
Required Experience and Skills
Five years of total marketing or related experience.
Minimum three years marketing experience in an FDA regulated environment.
Proficiency constructing global market models to estimate project value and select optimal projects.
Competent in financial metrics including NPV, gross profit, P&L statements and basic accounting.
Experience in qualitative and quantitative market research to identify segments, product value drivers and strategic opportunities.
Proficiency creating value propositions, using innovative marketing approaches, and deploying metrics to identify business impact.
Deep understanding of stakeholder input, market preferences by segment, and the decision‑making process to identify unmet needs and market trends.
Track record of influencing stakeholders to overcome resistance, create opportunities and drive results.
Effective communication with customers (physicians) and internal stakeholders, including presentation skills.
Success in driving execution by integrating cross‑functional support for launch, post‑launch dashboards and measurement tools.
Preferred Experience
Neurovascular experience preferred.
Experience with vascular medical devices.
Proficiency in generative AI models to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience developing full Net Present Value valuation models.
Knowledge of quantitative marketing research tools (conjoint, NPS, max diff, etc.).
Global product launch experience.
Other Requirements
Position requires approximately 20% domestic and international travel.
