General Job Description Under the general supervision of the High School Principal or his designee, musicians will prepare the music in the provided book at a professional level. Musicians must attend pit orchestra rehearsals and performances as scheduled.
Essential Functions
Performs provided music at a professional level.
Be prepared for each rehearsal
Attend performances and rehearsals
Timely communication with the pit orchestra director
Exhibit patience and flexibility during the rehearsal process
Ensures that conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies.
Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal or his designee
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Professional level proficiency on given instrument
Qualifications Profile
NJ Certification as a Teacher
Education
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline
Experience Prior pit orchestra/musical experience preferred
Salary Pending Budgetary Approval Pending NBEA Contract Negotiations District hourly rate according the NBEA negotiated contract not to exceed 40 hours (including rehearsals and performances)
