What we’re looking for:
7–10+ years of experience in partnership marketing, sponsorship strategy, or integrated marketing roles with the ability to build a Partnership Marketing function from the group up.
Experience in Sponsorship & Partnerships: Deep understanding of sponsorship strategy, activation, and measurement.
Marketing Expertise: Strong background in integrated marketing (social, events, content, creative campaigns).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work seamlessly with Sales, Marketing, and external partner marketing and sales teams.
Customer & Partner Facing Skills: Confidently present strategies, creative concepts, and activations to senior stakeholders.
Industry Familiarity: Background in B2B sales strategies, working with marketing agencies, product merchandising/apparel, corporate, charity, and non-profit sponsorships, or related industries.
Creative & Analytical Mindset: Able to bring fresh ideas and outside-the-box thinking while managing tight deadlines and budgets.
Project Leadership: Skilled in building timelines, managing budgets, and driving accountability across multiple initiatives.
What you’ll do:
This role is HIGHLY cross-functional and will be working with senior leaders in Marketing, Revenue, and Demand Strategy to set the strategy and develop marketing activation programs to drive revenue and/or cost offsets across several business units.
Sponsorship Strategy & Budgeting: Develop and own the sponsorship portfolio across partnerships, including evaluation of opportunities, budget allocation, and ROI tracking. (including charity and non-profit sponsorships)
Coop Marketing: Develop a coop marketing program and menu of options available to our new partners to drive revenue and offset business expenses. This includes working with many cross-functional teams, at all levels including the Revenue leadership team to build and execute the Channel Partnership strategy that derives the most value for our partners and the brand.
Campaign & Launch Strategy: Partner with relevant cross-functional partners to design and execute integrated campaign rollouts for key partners. This includes a deep understanding of the Partner’s brand and business needs while being an excellent marketing representative of Custom Ink.
Database Marketing: Develop Database Marketing campaign approach to both Partner captive audiences and, where appropriate, the Custom Ink database, spanning e‑mail, SMS and Direct Mail. Work with the Custom Ink CRM team and Sales Teams to develop and execute campaigns.
Social & Content Marketing: Develop social media strategy and co‑branded content partnerships, in coordination with Partners and Custom Ink Organic Marketing and Creative teams.
Event & Activation Support: Drive planning and execution for key sponsorship events, on‑site activations, and experiential campaigns.
Creative Collaboration: Partner with internal Creative and external agencies/partners to deliver compelling co‑branded assets and storytelling.
Partner Marketing Liaison: Serve as the central point of contact between Custom Ink’s Marketing team and partner marketing leads/agencies to ensure alignment and execution.
Sales & Partner Enablement: Support sales by developing case studies, activation recaps, and co‑marketing resources to fuel new revenue opportunities.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify new sponsorship opportunities, creative formats, and marketing channels that drive value for partners and Custom Ink.
How you’ll be measured:
Financial outcomes:
Incremental revenue and margin resulting from Partner activations and marketing plans, inclusive of Sponsorship and execution costs
Customer growth:
Incremental new customers and/or improvement in repeat customer purchase rates as a result of Partner activations, with a particular focus on customers in our Ideal Customer Profile
Brand building:
The role in which Partnerships and their activation plans contribute to Custom Ink’s Brand Health objectives, particularly in driving Brand Awareness and Consideration with our core ICP audiences.
How you’ll make a difference: We’re seeking a customer‑centric, strategic, creative, and execution‑focused Partnership Marketing leader to support Custom Ink’s portfolio of Partnerships, including Channel Partnerships, Coop Marketing and Marketing Partnerships. This role will own sponsorship strategy, campaign development and execution, and marketing activations across our most important partner relationships. The ideal candidate will be someone who can come in and independently build and lead this function from scratch, working cross‑functionally with our Demand Strategy and Revenue teams to define the strategy, structure, and execution model.
This is a highly visible, partner- and customer-facing role that will shape how Custom Ink shows up through partnerships and sponsorships — from managing budgets and evaluating opportunities, to executing compelling campaigns that drive measurable growth and brand equity.
Compensation: Custom Ink is committed to pay transparency and providing fair, equitable compensation in line with market standards and role expectations.
For this salaried, exempt position, the pay range is $118,000 - $155,000 plus a performance bonus targeted at 5% of base salary, tied to individual/company performance and continued retention. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
In this role, you will be eligible for equity compensation, aligning your contributions with the company's long‑term success.
