Senior Journey Specialist (CRM Email Marketing) Join GEICO as a Senior Journey Specialist to lead the design and execution of email marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, retention, and multi‑channel engagement.

Base pay range: $109,675.00 – $172,200.00 per year.

Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote. Washington, DC / New York, NY.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute targeted campaigns across email, SMS, push, and digital advertising to drive acquisition and retention.

Work with Growth & Journey marketing team members and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful execution of campaigns, develop audiences, and identify strategic growth opportunities.

Prioritize and evangelize multi‑channel, journey orchestration strategies.

Help guide and develop other analysts.

Utilize customer data and segmentation to personalize messaging and increase relevance using scripting languages like AMPscript, Liquid Logic, or Velocity.

Conduct ongoing A/B testing to optimize campaigns and increase effectiveness of marketing programs.

Develop strong working relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners and product owners to translate vision into actionable business requirements.

Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations to optimize future performance.

Maintain thorough documentation of campaigns and processes and contribute to process optimization and opportunity identification.

Communicate performance results, strategy, and make recommendations to internal partners; contribute to business reviews.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.

5+ years of relevant email marketing experience using platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Cheetah Digital, Braze, Movable Ink, Validity, etc.

Hands‑on knowledge of end‑to‑end email and digital marketing concepts and processes, including campaign setup, copywriting, design, audience targeting, segmentation, deliverability, CRM best practices, QA, A/B testing, and legal compliance.

Demonstrable aptitude for achieving conceptual understanding of complex strategies and processes.

Proficiency in HTML coding and strong foundation in coding fundamentals.

Experience coding with AMPscript, Liquid Logic, or Velocity to enable personalization, tracking, and testing within email content.

Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver, or comparable tools.

Ability to balance multiple projects and changing requirements, with strong troubleshooting skills.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

Experience with A/B testing and optimization strategies.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Highly detail‑oriented, data‑driven, self‑starter, innovative and analytical.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Proven track record of achieving results in a matrixed environment.

Demonstrable aptitude for learning new skills, programs, and processes.

Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

SQL knowledge, with the ability to interpret and manipulate code.

Experience in the Insurance, Financial Services, Telecom or other subscription‑based businesses.

Annual Salary $109,675.00 – $172,200.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Factors such as scope and responsibilities, work experience, education, work location, and market and business considerations influence the final salary offered.
