Senior Journey Specialist (CRM Email Marketing) – @ GEICO, Growth & Journey Marketing Team.
Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite (Washington, DC or New York, NY) and 2 days remote.
Base pay range: $109,675.00/yr – $172,200.00/yr
Job Summary Lead day‑to‑day development and execution of email marketing campaigns and other direct‑to‑consumer digital channels to drive multichannel acquisition and retention. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, prioritize journey orchestration, and align execution with broader business goals.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute targeted campaigns across email, SMS, push, and digital advertising to drive acquisition and retention.
Collaborate with Growth & Journey marketing members and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful execution, audience development, creative, and strategic growth opportunities.
Prioritize and evangelize multi‑channel journey orchestration strategies.
Guide and develop other analysts.
Utilize customer data and segmentation to personalize messaging using AMPscript, Liquid Logic, or Velocity.
Conduct A/B testing to optimize campaigns.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners and product owners to translate vision into actionable requirements.
Analyze campaign performance, provide recommendations, and apply learnings to future campaigns.
Maintain thorough documentation of campaigns and processes, contribute to process optimization.
Act as a subject‑matter expert, communicate performance results and strategy to internal partners, and contribute to business reviews.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Complete other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
5+ years of email marketing experience using platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Cheetah Digital, Braze, Movable Ink, Validity, etc.
Hands‑on knowledge of end‑to‑end email and digital marketing concepts, including campaign setup, copywriting, design, audience targeting, segmentation, deliverability, CRM best practices, QA, A/B testing, and legal compliance.
Proficiency in HTML coding and scripting languages (AMPscript, Liquid Logic, or Velocity) for personalization and testing.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, or comparable tools.
Strong troubleshooting and ability to balance multiple projects and changing requirements.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Team collaboration experience with cross‑functional teams.
Experience with A/B testing and optimization strategies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Highly detail‑oriented, data‑driven, self‑starter, innovative, and analytical.
Proven record of achieving results in a matrixed environment.
Strong organization and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
SQL knowledge.
Experience in Insurance, Financial Services, Telecom or other subscription‑based businesses.
