Location: Houston, TX. Salary: $40,000.00–$60,000.00.

Job Description The Marketing Coordinator provides essential administrative, operational, and project support to the Marketing Department. This role ensures the smooth execution of department processes by managing contracts, budgets, purchases, vendor communication, scheduling, documentation, and cross‑team coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs, streamline workflows, and support the marketing team in delivering high‑quality work across multiple channels and initiatives. This role reports directly to the Marketing Manager.

Essential Job Functions Administrative & Department Operations

Serve as the primary administrative support for the Marketing Department, ensuring tasks, requests, and communication flow efficiently.

Manage scheduling, agendas, and follow‑ups for key marketing meetings, including monthly vendor reviews, team syncs, and project kickoffs.

Maintain organized department files, processes, SOPs, and shared resources.

Contracts & Vendor Management

Coordinate contract intake, routing, signatures, and renewals in partnership with the Marketing Manager and legal team.

Track contract timelines, deliverables, and renewal dates to ensure proactive management.

Serve as a point of contact for vendors regarding invoices, payments, documentation, and administrative needs.

Budget & Purchasing Support

Assist with department budget tracking, including expenses, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation.

Maintain up‑to‑date budget sheets and ensure accurate coding and documentation of all purchases.

Submit purchase requests, monitor approvals, and ensure timely follow‑up on financial processes.

Project & Campaign Support

Support project intake as needed and routing by logging requests, gathering missing information, and ensuring internal alignment before assignments.

Assist the Projects Team, Creative Team, Social, Email, and Web teams with administrative support as needed.

Coordinate small tasks that help campaigns move forward (updating calendars, preparing recaps).

Communication & Coordination

Serve as an organizational hub, ensuring clear communication between marketing channels, internal partners, and external vendors.

Provide timely updates to the Marketing Manager regarding pending items, blockers, and administrative needs.

Support event‑related marketing tasks such as tracking materials, confirming orders, and coordinating internal approvals.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ministerial Duties As an employee of Lakewood Church, you are part of an over 60‑year legacy of faith and a key part of our mission. You are considered a spiritual leader in the Church. You are responsible for communicating the Church’s beliefs and our mission to our congregants, maintaining a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community.

Regular attendance at Church services and classes.

Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church.

Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church.

Qualifications

Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, mission, values, and core beliefs.

Demonstrated Christ‑like character, spiritual maturity, and alignment with Lakewood Church culture.

Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to maintain documentation, SOPs, and shared resources.

High attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry, tracking, and record keeping.

Experience with vendor and contract administrative support, including routing, tracking, and vendor communication.

Familiarity with purchase orders, invoice processing, and basic budget tracking or reconciliation.

Ability to manage calendars, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and maintain professional vendor relationships.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and shared file systems.

Experience using project management or workflow platforms (e.g., Wrike).

Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external correspondence.

Problem‑solving orientation with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve administrative issues.

Education & Experience

Some College preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Marketing department setting is preferred.
