Job Summary The Comedy Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director, Comedy Marketing and works closely with talent buyers and the Head of Comedy Operations. The role involves creating marketing plans for Live Nation comedy shows, including advertising, promotions, PR, social media, media buying, and executing events and non‑traditional programming in and around the venue.
Responsibilities
Be familiar with the venue and surrounding markets, building relationships with key media and local influencers.
Prepare and execute comprehensive marketing and promotional campaigns for Punch Line comedy shows.
Implement digital marketing & social media strategies, including e‑cards, newsletters, and content management.
Create brand marketing plans and identify strategic partners.
Coordinate promotions with internal teams and leverage promotional inventory.
Buy media across digital, social, radio, TV, print, outdoor, etc.
Develop, monitor, and adjust advertising budgets.
Coordinate street team and grassroots marketing with local contacts.
Craft, distribute, and track press releases.
Collaborate on ticketing promotions and programs.
Assist in developing and fulfilling sponsorship programs.
Coordinate pre‑show/day‑of show press with publicists and managers.
Create, develop, and implement additional content for dark nights, pre‑ and post‑show events, neighborhood events, and tentpole programming.
Capture live show coverage for marketing and social channels.
Qualifications
3‑5 years experience in entertainment industry marketing or event planning.
Experience managing and building social media channels for a brand.
Strong computer skills.
Creative thinker with proactive nature.
Team‑oriented with collaborative approach.
Results‑focused and solution‑oriented mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently.
Graphic design experience is a plus.
Fast‑paced environment experience; comedy knowledge and market familiarization.
