Job Description Chris Pappas for Senate seeks a dedicated, disciplined
Social Media Manager
to join our growing Digital team in New Hampshire’s battleground U.S. Senate race. The Social Media Manager will play a critical role in raising the profile of this race by managing and executing day-to-day social media content for the campaign’s social channels (Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, etc).
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success managing multiple social channels for a candidate, organization, or brand.
Duties and Responsibilities
Write compelling, creative, and engaging copy for all social media channels to drive campaign messaging and engagement
Develop and maintain a goal-oriented social media content calendar
Assist with capturing and editing content, including recording video and audio, photography, and digital assets
Monitor the media environment for rapid response moments and engagement opportunities, staying current on social media trends
Regularly analyzing our social media metrics, reporting on what’s working and making strategic recommendations on where we can improve
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
1+ cycles prior working experience (including internships) contributing to the social media program of a political campaign, organization, or non-profit
Experience writing, editing, and proofing social media content that drives action and maintains a consistent voice
Eagerness to explore new platforms and technologies to support campaign goals
Experience in graphic design and video editing software or programs, such as Canva or Adobe Suite
Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure and with competing deadlines
A willingness to work long campaign hours
Compensation
Level:
Manager
Salary:
$5,000 per month, commensurate with experience
Benefits:
Medical, dental and vision plan at no premium upon meeting plan eligibility requirements
Leave:
Paid time off will be available per Campaign policy.
Hours:
Full-time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
