About the Campaign

Congressman Dan Goldman represents New York’s 10th Congressional District, covering Lower Manhattan and Southwest Brooklyn. A former federal prosecutor and lead counsel in Donald Trump’s first impeachment, he was first elected to Congress in 2022 and reelected in 2024. He is running for reelection in NY-10 in 2026.

Position Summary

Dan Goldman for New York is looking to hire a full-time Social Media Manager for his 2026 reelection campaign, crafting and leading the campaign’s digital voice across all platforms and defining how voters experience the campaign online. This role will shape the candidate’s public narrative, building daily creative digital content, rapidly responding to news and opposition, and mobilizing supporters through compelling, authentic, and culturally-fluent content. This role would be hybrid and would require occasional evening and weekend work. The candidate should have prior digital, social, and creative experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with campaign messaging.

Write, schedule, and publish content across X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.

Capture and edit short‑form video and photo content from events, canvasses, town halls, and press moments

Translate policy positions into accessible, shareable content for diverse NYC audiences.

Monitor news, opposition messaging, and online discourse in real time

Draft and deploy rapid‑response content as needed, including during nights, weekends, and breaking news moments

Grow the campaign’s online following organically and through strategic engagement

Identify opportunities to engage influencers, allied organizations, and grassroots supporters

Track performance metrics and adjust strategy to maximize reach, engagement, and persuasion, preparing regular performance reports with actionable insights for senior staff.

Stay current on platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging digital best practices.

Work with vendors or volunteers as needed on graphics, video, or content production

Qualifications Mandatory

2+ years of experience managing social media for a political campaign, advocacy organization, or mission‑driven brand.

Familiarity with New York City politics, culture, and media ecosystem. Basic graphic design or motion graphics experience (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.)

Strong writing skills and ability to adapt tone across platforms

Experience filming and editing short‑form video content

Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, rapid‑turnaround environment

Commitment to Democratic values and Rep. Goldman’s progressive mission

Preferred

Prior experience on a congressional or citywide campaign

Fluency or knowledge in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or other languages commonly spoken in New York’s 10th Congressional District

Experience coordinating with paid digital or fundraising teams

Compensation This is a full‑time position with a competitive salary. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required. This is a hybrid role, with some flexibility on in‑office and virtual work.
