NewsNation seeks a proactive booking producer for a daily political show, working closely with show producers to secure top-tier guests and manage live segments. Responsibilities
Pitch daily news stories and identify high-profile guests Build relationships and arrange guest appearances for the show Conduct pre-interviews and research on a range of political topics Organize and produce elements for show segments Monitor social media and news platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Dataminr, YouTube) to find timely editorial content Secure reliable witnesses quickly during breaking news situations Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred Five+ years of experience in television production Extensive contacts and ability to book high-profile guests and key news subjects Strong editorial judgment and passion for current events and politics Flexibility with hours for breaking news or major events Willingness to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings Experience with Lexis Nexis and ENPS beneficial Salary
$75,000 – $90,000 Benefits
Full-time benefits include medical (multiple plans), dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, life insurance, and more. Part-time employees are eligible for 401(k) and local/state leave plans. Union positions follow collective bargaining agreement benefits.
