Job Summary The Technical Media Producer directs live or pre‑recorded productions, monitors WIS’s on‑air streams, manages FCC logs, and ingests daily programming and commercial inventory. Regular duties include directing news broadcasts, station productions, and digital content elements.
Responsibilities
Operate Ross Overdrive automation, VizRT graphics, Panasonic PTZ cameras, and related control‑room equipment.
Operate robotic camera controls, prompters, and audio systems.
Monitor and manage FCC program and transmitter logs to ensure regulatory compliance.
Perform Master Control duties: complete dub lists, make log changes, receive network feeds, and monitor all on‑air channels.
Use AP ENPS newsroom computer system and prep media for news as needed.
Maintain knowledge of all studio and production equipment.
Collaborate with all departments to meet daily broadcast demands.
Train new personnel and assist with maintaining clean studio environments.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with PCs and graphics computers.
Willingness to work a non‑traditional schedule, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and long periods of sitting or standing.
Good hearing and vision, with corrections allowed if needed.
Strong English language skills and clear verbal communication.
