What You’ll Be Doing The Advertising and Content Manager leads and manages the sales, editorial and operational functions of St. Croix This Week, a bi-monthly magazine serving the St. Croix community for over 54 years. This role is responsible for revenue generation, content oversight, distribution, brand awareness and community engagement. The Advertising and Content Manager ensures the sustainability and growth of the publication by balancing legacy print operations with new digital marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Revenue Generation
Personally drive advertising sales and maintain client relationships
Achieve year-over-year revenue growth through new business development and upselling services
Develop and implement digital marketing revenue channels alongside print advertising
Content Creation & Production Oversight
Oversee editorial planning and content creation for the magazine
Ensure timely production and distribution of each issue per established deadlines
Maintain quality standards across print and digital platforms
Client & Community Relations
Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, clients, and community leaders
Actively participate in the Chamber of Commerce, Hotel & Tourism Association, and other local organizations
Attend meetings, events, and serve on boards/committees to foster brand awareness
Strategic Leadership
Co-create and lead a vision for the short- and long-term growth of the publication
Analyze client needs and provide consultative sales solutions across print and digital channels
Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to maintain relevance and profitability
Operational Oversight
Manage distribution logistics to ensure timely delivery of the magazine
Oversee financial performance and profitability of St. Croix operations
Maintain and grow brand awareness through marketing and community engagement initiatives
Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Remote on St. Croix with frequent travel to community events and client meetings
Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and attend around-island functions
Must be able to lift and/or move materials related to magazine distribution

Qualifications What We’re Looking For
Extensive knowledge of the St. Croix community and its businesses
Proven experience in sales, media management, and content creation
Strong consultative sales skills with ability to analyze client needs and deliver solutions
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across, sales, editorial and community functions concurrently
Additional Requirements
Evening and weekend availability for community events and client meetings
Active participation in local organizations to maintain visibility and brand awareness
Commitment to both legacy print operations and development of digital marketing initiatives
Compensation
