Position Details Position Title : Digital Communications Coordinator
Reporting Department : Communications
Reporting Supervisor : Director of Marketing & Communications
Location : Main Building
FLSA Status : Non-exempt, Full-Time
Organizational Function : Front Line Staff
Purpose Work with the Director of Marketing & Communications to support institutional objectives through digital channels. Collaborate on initiatives that enhance Minnetrista’s digital presence and content.
Qualifications
Have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field with two (2) or more years of experience in social media marketing, digital content creation, and website management.
Experience in analytics/reporting, project management, DSLR photography, and video production, preferred.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Squarespace (or similar), and email marketing software (eg Mailchimp); familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and InDesign preferred. Able to learn new software as necessary.
Possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt content for various platforms.
Be organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks on time and on budget within a cross-functional team environment.
Show awareness of current trends in social media and digital communications.

Job Duties
Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to manage Minnetrista’s digital communications strategy. Assist in executing this strategy as part of the Institutional Marketing Plan.
Develop and implement targeted email marketing campaigns to engage with our audience, promote events and programs, and drive traffic to our website. Analyze campaign performance to optimize future communications and ensure effective outreach.
Engage and inform the public through social media channels, focusing on promoting programs, events, and exhibitions, while delivering mission-related digital content and programs.
Develop eye-catching social media content using high-quality photos and videos.
Oversee and update the website, including writing and maintaining engaging blog content.
Utilize metrics to assess engagement with social media channels and the website and make data-driven decisions.
Participate actively in the communications department and use project management tools for effective communication.
Build strong working relationships with colleagues across departments.
Support on-site and off-site promotion of Minnetrista events, exhibitions, and programs.
Stay current with museum communication trends to inform strategic decisions related to institutional marketing and communications. Contribute to department success by improving processes, sharing information, and offering new ideas.
Perform all other duties as required.
Work Environment Primarily a sedentary office environment with desk, computer, phone, and files. Must be able to reach overhead and handle items approximately 20 lbs. Must be able to move about the entire Minnetrista 40-acre campus. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
