Base pay range $46,000.00/yr - $56,000.00/yr

ABOUT THE ROLE BRAVE Books is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to help drive smarter decisions across our marketing, eCommerce, and subscription business. This role is responsible for owning core performance reporting, identifying trends and insights, and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and execution teams.

You’ll work closely with Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure we understand what’s working, what’s not, and where to allocate resources to drive profitable growth. This role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly in tools like Shopify and Excel to support a fast-moving, performance-driven organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and maintain marketing and revenue performance reporting across channels

Analyze Shopify data including sales, AOV, LTV, churn, refunds, and cohorts

Track and report on subscription metrics (retention, churn, renewal rates, MRR)

Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Excel and related tools

Work with the marketing team to evaluate campaign performance and ROI

Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within customer and sales data

Support forecasting, budgeting, and performance planning

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms and reports

Help define and standardize key business and marketing KPIs

Provide clear insights and recommendations backed by data

Assist with A/B test analysis for offers, pricing, funnels, and creative

Work cross-functionally to answer data questions quickly and accurately

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong proficiency in Shopify (orders, customers, products, reports, exports)

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning, analysis)

Experience analyzing business performance data

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights

High attention to detail and data integrity

Self-starter who can manage priorities and deadlines independently

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Alignment with BRAVE Books’ mission and values

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working with e-commerce or subscription businesses

Familiarity with subscription platforms (Recharge, Skio, or similar)

Experience with marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, etc.)

Experience building dashboards in tools like Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar

SQL or basic data querying experience

Background in analytics, finance, economics, marketing, or a related field
