Job Summary
The Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring that products are handled efficiently, securely, and meet company quality standards before leaving the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit.
Label, scan, and process orders through the warehouse management system (WMS).
Verify product quantities, quality, and accuracy of orders before shipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse work area.
Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and general warehouse duties as needed.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment experience a plus, but not required.
Ability to read and understand order sheets, invoices, and labels.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and move boxes/products up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
Basic computer or scanner knowledge helpful.
Reliability and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Warehouse setting with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
May require overtime, evenings, or weekends depending on business needs.
