Hagerstown KIA is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our growing service department. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced dealership environment, enjoys delivering outstanding customer service, and has strong automotive knowledge. You’ll be the primary point of contact for service customers and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and write up service appointments promptly and professionally Listen to customer concerns and document them clearly for technicians Provide accurate repair estimates and explain recommended maintenance Communicate with the parts department and technicians to support efficient workflow Update customers on repair status and obtain approval for additional services Achieve department goals and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings Review completed repair orders for accuracy and completeness Upsell maintenance services based on vehicle needs Handle customer questions, complaints, and follow‑ups professionally Maintain accurate customer and service records Report additional tasks or needs to management Qualifications
Valid U.S. driver’s license (Required) 1+ year experience
as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer (Preferred) Strong customer service and communication skills Mechanical knowledge (shocks, struts, oil changes, diagnostics, etc.) Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced dealership environment Team-oriented attitude with a professional appearance High attention to detail High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Experience in automotive sales or dealership customer service is a plus Reliability and strong problem‑solving skills Schedule
