About BRAVE Books At BRAVE Books, we create faith- and values-based stories, TV shows, games, and resources that equip families to raise the next generation of courageous, truth-filled leaders. We publish bold, meaningful content every month—from picture books and graphic novels to TV series and more—all designed to captivate children and support parents in the battle for their kids’ hearts and minds.
About BRAVE Culture At BRAVE Books, we’ve built a team of reliable, relentless high‑performers who are loyal to the mission, driven to win, and selfless in execution. We hire individuals who show up hungry, take ownership, and grind with consistency—the kind of people who carry more than their share without needing the spotlight.
ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a highly adaptable, creative, and driven Creative Associate to serve as a utility player across the creative team. This role is intentionally broad and hands‑on, designed for someone who is eager to plug into a variety of creative tasks while we identify and develop their strongest skill sets over time.
The ideal candidate is willing to do the work—whatever that work is—whether it’s brainstorming story ideas, editing copy, supporting design needs, organizing creative assets, or helping move a project across the finish line. You bring strong creative instincts and an eye for improvement, with the ability to look at existing work and identify ways to make it clearer, stronger, or more compelling.
This role is best suited for someone who is creative, humble, coachable, and hungry to learn. Someone who values progress over prestige and takes pride in being useful. You’ll work closely with the Director of Product Development and other creative leads, gaining exposure across disciplines while contributing meaningfully to the mission from day one.

Assist with writing, editing, proofreading, and refining creative content
Contribute ideas to story development, worldbuilding, and creative concepting

Help organize, prep, and maintain creative files, documents, and references
Review creative work and suggest improvements to clarity, tone, or impact
Execute assigned tasks quickly and reliably to keep projects moving forward
Adapt to shifting priorities and take on new responsibilities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Experience in a creative or communications‑related field is a plus
Strong creative instincts and problem‑solving ability
Clear written communication skills and comfort working with narrative content
Willingness to learn new tools, workflows, and creative disciplines
High level of coachability and openness to feedback
Strong work ethic with a “no task is beneath me” mindset
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Organized, dependable, and accountable
Alignment with BRAVE Books’ mission and values
PORTFOLIO / CREATIVE SAMPLE REQUIREMENT
A portfolio, writing samples, or creative work is required for consideration
Submissions may include writing, design, concept development, editing work, or personal creative projects
Work should demonstrate creativity, range, and the ability to execute ideas

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Experience with Canva or similar tools
Interest in storytelling, publishing, media, or worldbuilding
Comfort working in Google Drive and shared project systems
Ability to move between creative and operational tasks without friction
Prior experience in a fast‑paced or startup‑style environment
