We believe water is more than a resource; it’s a shared responsibility. In the Water Business Group, you’ll help shape how communities manage water for generations to come—delivering safe drinking water, treating wastewater, developing sustainable supplies, and protecting lives and property through flood control. Your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience.

Responsibilities

Develop content marketing strategies and communications plans for specific initiatives and projects to elevate thought leadership, people, and project work

Lead global and local communications strategies by collaborating with internal business partners, creative, marketing, and communications teams

Assist in the development and management of an editorial calendar

Work with subject matter experts to develop and write white papers, feature articles, thought‑leadership pieces, and/or social media posts

Ghost‑write and edit blogs, social media posts, papers, and/or presentations by subject matter experts

Help develop collateral pieces and other marketing campaign materials

Research, write, and edit project narratives and case studies

Monitor industry best practices and maintain a repository of trends and examples

Support event management where required

Bring genuine, creative ideas to the table

Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field

Previous consulting and/or creative agency experience

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years experience in a communications field of expertise: social media, event planning, community engagement, target marketing, descriptive writing, public involvement, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Self‑motivated and able to work independently with multiple teams, as well as be team‑oriented

Great interpersonal and communication skills – positive outlook and attitude

High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues

Commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture

Comfortable working with senior leaders and managing cross‑functional efforts

Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment

Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and HDR values

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
