Communication Strategist (Water Business Group)

Responsibilities
Develop content marketing strategies and communications plans for specific initiatives and projects to elevate thought leadership and project visibility.
Lead global and local communications strategies in collaboration with internal business partners, creative, marketing, and communications teams.
Assist in the development and management of an editorial calendar.
Work with subject‑matter experts to develop and write white papers, feature articles, thought‑leadership pieces, and social‑media posts.
Ghost‑write and edit blogs, social‑media posts, papers, and presentations by subject‑matter experts.
Help develop collateral pieces and other marketing campaign materials.
Research, write, and edit project narratives and case studies.
Monitor industry best practices and maintain a repository of trends and examples.
Support event management as required.
Bring genuine, creative ideas to the table.
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a closely related field.
Previous consulting and/or creative agency experience.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of five years’ experience in a communications field of expertise (social media, event planning, community engagement, target marketing, descriptive writing, public involvement, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self‑motivated and able to work independently with multiple teams, as well as team‑oriented.
Great interpersonal skills – positive outlook and attitude.
High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues.
Active participation in an employee‑owned culture is a must.
Comfortable working with senior leaders and managing cross‑functional efforts.
Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and tactically in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment.
Committed to quality, continuous improvement, and HDR values.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
