eCommerce Merchandising Content Specialist American Greetings

Hybrid role based in Creative Studios, Westlake, Ohio. Candidates must reside in Northeast Ohio.

The eCommerce Merchandising Content Specialist is responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining product content across eCommerce Retailer platforms to drive online visibility, engagement, and sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Product Detail Page Asset & Content Creation Strategy: strategize, create and maintain copy and image style guide standards; write and optimize product descriptions, titles, and bullet features with SEO-infused copy to improve organic visibility and rankings; develop and implement best‑in‑class content strategy to optimize conversion and enhance consumer experience.

Item Set Up & Site Merchandising: own and execute the full item setup process following program launch calendars; work cross‑functionally with Product Management to acquire product information and syndicate it to retailers; coordinate the development of assets such as product photography, video requests, and art direction.

Conduct Site Audits and Execute Needed Changes: conduct audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrections; ensure an accurate source of truth is maintained.

Support Retailer Needs: support Sales/Ops with retailer requests related to merchandising; ensure the retailer portal system reflects accurate item detail information to support successful purchase ordering.

Experience Required

2+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising or related field — consumer goods preferred.

Experience with Vendor Central or Seller Central.

Experience with leading mass‑market or large online retail platforms, or similar eCommerce channels, is preferred.

Experience operating PIM systems (Salsify).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience writing SEO‑friendly copy for PDPs.

Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and project management skills.

Highly collaborative — excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills across functional teams and external partners.

Understanding and application of e‑commerce marketing insights tools and keyword research tools (Helium10).

Comfortable with analytics tools and interpreting performance metrics (Profitero, Tableau, Stackline).

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Track record as a fast learner; capable of problem‑solving in a data‑rich environment.

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business Management.
