Job Description Title: Design Assistant
Reports to: Design Product Specialist
David Yurman is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Jewelry Design Assistant to join our Women’s Design team. This role is ideal for a jewelry design graduate with at least two years of professional experience who is eager to contribute to the creative development of our collections while advancing both technical and conceptual design skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support Design Product Specialist in execution of design projects from approved 2D design through 3D development
Maintains accurate line plans in PLM and manages product information in the system, including archiving
Maintains accurate status updates in Monday.com
Manages sample photography.
Support Design team in keeping an organized workspace physically and systematically, including inventory management
Assists in creation of spec sheets and pricing requests
Assist in meeting prep for all design presentations
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Portfolio submission required with application
Prefer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, and InDesign. Other design software such as Rhino and/or ZBrush is a plus.
Experience in Jewelry design, Product Development, and/or Design operations is preferred.
Must be detail oriented, highly organized and self‑motivated.
Creative aesthetic in keeping with that of the David Yurman brand.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Open to feedback and adaptable in a fast‑paced, evolving design environment.
Estimate Pay Rate $28.00‑$30.00 p/hour
Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
