Virtual Designer - Mechanical/Plumbing
Position Overview: A leading nationwide MEP contractor is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Designer specializing in Mechanical and Plumbing systems to join their innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed design models and documentation for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems using advanced design software. This position requires a strong technical background in engineering design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed 3D models for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
Create and maintain accurate design documentation including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.
Utilize Navisworks for project coordination and clash detection to minimize design conflicts.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations to clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical or plumbing design.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is required.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
