Geographic Information System (GIS) Manager
Term limited temporary (TLT) position supporting the Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) project through December 31, 2010.
Full‑time position (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday). Non‑exempt, overtime eligible.
Responsibilities
Analyze workflow and business practices to identify records created in the course of business and develop recommendations for process improvement.
Conduct training on the use of the ERMS.
Work with other County agencies on electronic records retention initiatives.
Develop and implement retention and life cycle management policies and practices for electronic records.
Configure ERMS to manage end‑user electronic records.
Develop records retention schedules and research.
Perform application maintenance and support for ERMS.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Records Management, Library Science, Business Administration, Public Administration or a closely related discipline.
Two years of professional experience implementing or maintaining a vendor‑developed ERMS.
Knowledge of automated systems testing procedures, data conversion analyses, transaction processing, and troubleshooting applications.
Knowledge of record inventory and record retention schedule processes.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Internet.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Customer‑service focus and end‑user support experience.
Analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment; reliable attendance.
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of how business workflow analysis translates to automated systems and electronic record retention scheduling.
Records and Information Management certificate from an accredited institution.
Proficient experience in software solutions for electronic record management certified by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (DoD 5015.2).
Experience with Visio.
