About the Role
Optimal is looking for a Paid Media Strategist with 2+ years of hands‑on experience managing paid search and social media advertising campaigns on Google, Facebook, Amazon and other paid media channels. The right candidate exhibits a true passion for digital marketing, strong analytical proficiency and excellent client communication skills.
As a Paid Media Strategist at Optimal, you are responsible for the overall strategy and delivery of paid media for your designated clients, driving real business results and contributing to our clients’ marketing goals.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Lead strategy development for clients, building strategic recommendations through performance and demographic analysis, competitive research, and keyword research.
Create and build campaigns from the ground up, including account set‑up, planning, ad copywriting, keyword selection, bid strategy, and collaboration with design for creative assets.
Manage multi‑channel advertising campaigns across paid search, display, and social media. Test and optimize bids, keywords, ads, image ads, and landing pages to improve performance.
Build client relationships and serve as the daily point of contact, working with clients to establish monthly, quarterly, or annual performance goals.
Perform deep‑dive analysis using Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Analytics, Power BI, and other tools; write client reports and present strategic recommendations at weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
Manage monthly client advertising budgets up to seven figures, track budget pacing, adjust media spend, and execute budget changes based on performance analysis.
Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Four‑year bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, economics, finance, analytics, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
1–2 years of hands‑on campaign management in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or other digital channels.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
Superior ability to analyze data in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook, or other analytics platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication and client relationship skills.

Office Hours This role is based out of our Austin office. Our Austin team works on a hybrid basis: three days per week in the office and two days from home. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday‑Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work may be required as necessary.
