Overview
Senior Digital Product Designer. Must be willing/able to work on-site on a hybrid basis in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Responsibilities
Partner with design lead to plan, prioritize, and execute design activities.
Design digital interfaces, including dashboards, charts, and data visualizations.
Create prototypes to illustrate functionality for implementation.
Leverage Carrier's digital design system to create stunning experiences with speed.
Ensure UI design is both strategically sound and aesthetically beautiful.
Communicate and document detailed design specifications to engineers.
Partner directly with scrum team to iterate design approach mid sprint.
Support quality assurance during and after sprint to ensure design specs are implemented.
Maintain product level style guide and design library.
Mentor more junior product designers on team.
Oversee design system usage across product, advising on best practices.
Participate in user research and usability testing, in partnership with researchers.
Partner with product to prioritize new components based on product level needs.
Promote coherence across our design system, and identify areas for improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction).
+7-10 years of related work experience in-house or at a digital agency.
Deep understanding of how elements like color, typography, layout etc. influence user experience.
Past experience working on design systems.
Fluent in relevant design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, InVision, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
Proven ability to create prototypes, wireframes, and other common UX artifacts.
Bonus: Experience working in a variety of organizations (start‑up, corporate, agency).
Key Skills
Collaborative team-player with experience working on agile scrum teams.
Passion for pixel‑perfect visual design.
Interest in graphic design, illustration, branding, etc.
Expertise in the creation, application, and maintenance of design systems.
Ability to challenge the status quo through new thinking and inspiration.
Experience with complex enterprise software development projects.
Operate in a fast‑paced environment with an interdisciplinary structure.
Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Job Type & Location Contract; hybrid position based out of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Pay & Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 – $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be specific to the temporary role: Medical, dental & vision, Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital, 401(k) Retirement Plan, Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents), Short and long‑term disability, Health Spending Account (HSA), and PTO.
