Job Description Only qualified Sr. Technical Designers, Swimwear-focused candidates located near Manhattan, NY to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.

Our client is the world's largest intimates' specialty retailer offering a wide assortment of modern, fashion-inspired collections including signature bras, panties, lingerie, casual sleepwear, swim and athleisure, as well as award-winning prestige fragrances and body care.

Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities

5+ years' experience in technical design - own the fit & comfort of the product, work very closely with design to ensure design intent is met while following our fit, comfort & quality standards

Swimwear & Coverups experience! Sweaters & Knits/wovens – a plus!

Expertise in their field/specialization – worked at competitive intimate brands

Have owned fit or help support lead TD with the above categories

Patterning skills – examples of work, TP creation & fit corrections

Well versed in Microsoft & Adobe programs (Excel, illustrator)

Experience with Flex PLM or Centric

Role & Responsibilities Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.

Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.

Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.

Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.

Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.

Typically reports to Technical Services Manager. Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.
