Location: Bentonville studio (remote/hybrid options for candidates with sufficient experience).
Overview Mechanical Designer I focuses on HVAC and plumbing design for retail buildings and remodeling projects across the United States. Entry‑level with potential for remote/hybrid as experience grows.
Responsibilities
Assist Mechanical Engineer and/or Mechanical Design Team in designing, implementing, and drafting construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems.
Use Revit to create construction documents, ensuring compliance with national standards (IMC, IPC, ASHRAE).
Coordinate with architects, other engineers, and clients to develop documents per project requirements.
Execute project production schedules and perform quality control on own work before submission to Mechanical Engineer for final review.
Travel to projects as required and become familiar with tools such as Trane Trace.
Possibly engage directly with clients on a regular basis, depending on project/client needs.
Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
1–3 years of HVAC/plumbing design experience (entry‑level) or some experience for remote/hybrid consideration.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit with understanding of national codes.
Ability to work collaboratively under a licensed professional engineer.
Strong communication skills and organizational abilities.
