Mechanical CAD Designer, Advanced Manufacturing Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) invites applications for a Mechanical CAD Designer in the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Group. The role focuses on design and CAD modeling of custom equipment and tooling using 3D parametric CAD software.

Responsibilities

Perform design and CAD modeling of equipment and large assemblies using 3D parametric CAD software.

Work directly with engineers to determine project scope and limitations.

Use CAD software to create 3D models (parts and assemblies) and 2D fabrication drawings.

Diagnose issues using a systematic, methods-based approach.

Maintain partnerships with other functions and communicate with persuasion and authority.

Understand how the team contributes to department goals and maintain quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma + 2 years of relevant experience.

US citizenship required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Engineering Graphics or Industrial Design.

Experience with Creo.
