Contract - 6 Months
Pay Rate:
$22.00 - $26.00
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled
CAD Drafter
to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for creating detailed 2D mechanical drawings of components and sub-assemblies, supporting engineering designs, and ensuring compliance with product requirements and drafting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD software, PLM systems, and strong attention to detail.
Primary Duties
Create detailed
2D mechanical drawings
based on engineer-provided designs.
Use CAD software (Solid Edge preferred) to generate 2D component and sub-assembly drawings.
Ensure accuracy and adherence to product requirements, drafting standards, and company guidelines.
Collaborate with engineers and team members to review, revise, and finalize drawings.
Prepare and maintain documentation within
PLM systems
(Team Center preferred), including drawing changes, revisions, and approvals.
Qualifications
Associate degree in
Mechanical Engineering Technology
or a related field required.
Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering
or
Mechanical Engineering Technology
preferred.
3+ years of experience drafting
industrial products
as a CAD drafter.
Proficiency with CAD tools (Solid Edge strongly preferred).
Knowledge of drafting standards and best practices.
Experience working with PLM systems (Team Center preferred), with an understanding of revision control.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
