Position Summary As a
Project Assistant
at The Springs Living, you’ll provide essential support to design and construction projects from planning through closeout. Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, you will assist in managing project schedules, budgets, documentation, and quality control, ensuring compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements. You will help facilitate meetings, track financial and technical deliverables, and maintain project records, contributing to timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project outcomes. Reporting to the VP of Design, you will collaborate with the VP and Interior Designer to translate architectural and interior design visions into technically sound and code-compliant construction, including both ground‑up developments and remodels.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing all project phases, including concept development, design development, documentation, construction administration, and project closeout
Support the VP of Design and Interior Designer in client communications, helping to build strong relationships and ensure client satisfaction
Aid in preparing proposals, organizing contract documentation, and supporting budget, schedule, and resource tracking
Contribute to design development, space planning, material and finish selections, and FF&E specifications
Assist in ensuring that designs comply with building codes, accessibility standards, and regulatory requirements
Support the review of construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals under the guidance of senior staff
Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members
Assist with coordinating project team activities and fostering a collaborative work environment
Prepare meeting agendas, take meeting notes, and track action items to ensure follow-through
Support the identification and resolution of design, technical, or constructability issues
Help monitor project progress and assist in identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies
Assist in documenting and processing change orders and contract modification
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in architecture, interior design, or a related field preferred
Multi family & senior housing experience preferred.
4+ years of professional experience in architecture or interior design, managing mid-size to multiple small projects
Proficient in scheduling, budgeting, and consultant coordination
Proficient in design software and industry standard tools
Strong understanding of building codes, construction practices, and quality standards
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience with sustainable design principles and integrated design guidelines is a plus
Availability to travel across different states
