How a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician II will make an impact
Performs installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.
Will verify services by testing circuits/equipment/alarms & identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
Leverage LMR shop operations & management experience from a large-scale LMR shop.
Will respond to emergency calls in the event of a system failure.
Will install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, & repair telecommunication equipment, to include running/pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays.
Apply hands‑on experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Motorola & other LMR Equipment
What you’ll need to succeed
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Must be qualified to install LMR base stations, repeaters and mobile radios.
Security Clearance Level: SECRET
Required Skills and Abilities:
Communications consoles
Repeaters
XTS‑5000 and other hand‑held radios
Trunked and non‑trunked LMR systems
Key loaders, antennas, multi‑couplers, duplexers
Test equipment (service monitors/ system analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, power meters, spectrum analyzer)
Digital recording equipment
OTAR keying equipment (Key management facility)
Site controllers
Location: On Customer Site
US Citizenship Required - Clearance
