About Us We are a top-tier freight forwarder seeking an experienced
Entry Writer
with strong classification skills, FDA entry experience, and deep knowledge of Cargowise. Familiarity with FDA-regulated shipments is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process customs entries for import shipments across all modes of transport
Accurately classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
Handle FDA, USDA, and other Partner Government Agency (PGA) entries
Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with U.S. Customs and border protection regulations
Communicate with clients, customs, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates
Maintain compliance with current import regulations, including record-keeping and auditing
Utilize Cargowise to manage documentation, data entry, and communication
Train or mentor junior entry writers as needed
Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years of customs entry writing experience
Strong knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. import compliance regulations
FDA entry experience required (food, supplements, medical, cosmetics preferred)
Proficiency with Cargowise software
Experience working with ocean, air, and truck imports
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
