Position Title: Entry Writer – Logistics
Location: Long Beach, CA
Pay Range: $60k-70k

About Us

We are a top-tier freight forwarder seeking an experienced Entry Writer with strong classification skills, FDA entry experience, and deep knowledge of Cargowise. Familiarity with FDA-regulated shipments is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs entries for import shipments across all modes of transport
• Accurately classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
• Handle FDA, USDA, and other Partner Government Agency (PGA) entries
• Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with U.S. Customs and border protection regulations
• Communicate with clients, customs, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates
• Maintain compliance with current import regulations, including record-keeping and auditing
• Utilize Cargowise to manage documentation, data entry, and communication
• Train or mentor junior entry writers as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of customs entry writing experience
• Strong knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. import compliance regulations
• FDA entry experience required (food, supplements, medical, cosmetics preferred)
• Proficiency with Cargowise software
• Experience working with ocean, air, and truck imports
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
