Overview

Performs all typical duties of a retail mail‑order, specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Alaska Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures.

Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist’s supervision.

Communicates with and services the needs of Pharmacy clientele.

Has advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in the pharmacy (advanced skills include specific certifications such as immunization administration, MTM). Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable.

Pharmacy Technician Location: Providence Alaska Medical Center, Anchorage, AK FTE: 1.0 (Full‑time) Shift: Day (8‑hour day shifts) Hours: 40 per week Apply Today!

Alaska Pharmacy Technician License upon hire 1 year of experience (2080 hours) of pharmacy practice 1 year of customer service experience 1 year – for internal promotion candidates must be competent in all responsibilities of an Associate Pharmacy Technician (external candidates are required to have the equivalent experience) Preferred Qualifications
