Talent Development Splst 1 Within the Division of Human Resources, provides support tothe Talent Development Department by designing, developing, and deliveringengaging training programs to strengthen workforce capabilities. Collaborateswith the Talent Development team, campus partners, and subject matter experts(SMEs) to design and deliver high-quality and innovative learning solutions.Applies adult learning theory, facilitates and supports training sessions,coordinates logistics, assesses learning needs, and ensures alignment withtechnology infrastructure for optimal learner experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Partners and collaborates with campus colleagues and SMEs to assess learning needs, identify performance gaps, and define objectives. Recommend solutions based on organizational priorities and performance gaps.

Designs and develops instructional materials and engagingcontent across multiple modalities, including instructor-led, electronic/web-based, blended, and/or multimedia training methods and formats. Adapt facilitation techniques to suit different learning styles and modalities.

Coordinates, facilitates, and co-facilitates a variety of individual and group learning sessions and instructional programs, including trainings, orientations, and workshops. Ensure seamless learner experiencethrough proactive planning and troubleshooting.

Develops interactive, accessible content, including modules, facilitator guides, participant materials, and job aids.

Utilizes Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digitaltools for course delivery. Monitors and maintains accurate reporting of coursedelivery through the LMS.

Evaluates the effectiveness of training and developmentprograms and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changesin instructional designs and methods.

Participates and contributes to the full lifecycle ofL&D projects, such as training programs, curriculum design, andinstructional rollouts.

Stays current with instructional design, adult learningtheory, and higher education training practices.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Knowledge of eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360,Adobe Captivate, Vyond, etc.).

Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models.

Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team and manage multiple priorities.

Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

Familiarity with multimedia or graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).

Demonstrated ability to design for accessibility and inclusivity.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate multiple projects.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing and delivering learning programs in a higher education, healthcare, or large complex organization.

Demonstrated experience applying adult learning theory and instructional design models to create measurable learning outcomes.

Experience developing in-person, blended and online learning solutions, including asynchronous and synchronous modalities.

Proficiency using eLearning authoring tools to build engaging, interactive content.

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional partners.

Experience with project coordination or project management within an L&D or training environment.
