The Director of Advertising position is responsible for brand identity, advertising planning, design, production, and execution. The position directs the University’s advertising strategy and execution, overseeing paid media planning, creative development, campaign production, and performance reporting. The role ensures all advertising aligns with the brand and reaches target audiences effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, graphic design or related field.
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong experience in advertising strategy, media planning, and analytics.
Skilled at managing projects, budgets, and creative work.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of the Troy University brand.
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience in higher education marketing or enrollment advertising.
Experience managing multi‑channel campaigns at a regional or national scale.
Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms and analytics tools.
Experience working with creative agencies, media buyers, and production partners.
Portfolio showing successful campaigns and measurable outcomes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Work Hours
8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday, adjusted as appropriate.
Driving Requirement
Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties? Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility.
