Primary Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain courtroom audio and video systems, including microphones, speakers, cameras, assisted‑listening devices, projectors, and digital evidence presentation tools.

Provide real‑time A/V support during hearings, trials, remote proceedings, and public meetings.

Monitor live audio and video feeds to ensure accurate court recording and compliance with court standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly in high‑pressure environments.

Coordinate with judges, clerks, IT staff, law enforcement, and external agencies to support operational needs.

Maintain, upgrade, and document A/V infrastructure, wiring schematics, and equipment inventories.

Implement accessibility technologies (e.g., ADA‑compliant systems, captioning support).

Train court personnel on proper use of A/V and telepresence systems.

Design, fabricate, terminate, test, and install network and audio cabling infrastructure, including proper cable routing, labeling, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Information Technology, Broadcast Technology, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.

3+ years of experience installing, supporting, or operating professional audio‑visual systems.

Strong knowledge of signal flow, networking fundamentals, digital audio consoles, PTZ cameras, and video conferencing platforms.

Experience with courtroom, government, broadcast, or mission‑critical environments.

Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions‑focused under pressure.

Excellent communication, documentation, and customer‑service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

CTS, CTS‑I, CTS‑D, or equivalent A/V industry certifications.

Experience with evidence presentation systems, recording/archival software, and enterprise video management platforms.

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in A/V environments.

Experience working in a secure facility or with sensitive data.

Working Conditions

On‑site position within secure courthouse facilities.

May require occasional after‑hours, holiday, and weekend support for hearings or system upgrades.

Ability to lift, carry, and install technical equipment up to 40 lbs.
