Job Description Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare center offering advanced treatment services in inpatient and outpatient programs. We are seeking a Per Diem Music, Recreation, or Art Therapist to provide direct patient care on assigned units, including creative therapy group sessions, doctor‑ordered individual assessments, and documentation of assessments, group summaries, and billing.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on assigned units
Conduct creative therapy group sessions and individual assessments as ordered by physicians
Complete creative therapy documentation, including assessments, group summaries, and billing within time constraints
Serve as a member of the treatment team, utilizing principles of growth/development for adolescent patients and age‑specific needs of geriatric patients
Work flexible hours including weekends as required
Qualifications
Music Therapist: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Music Therapist
Recreation Therapist: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
Art Therapist: Master’s Degree from an accredited school and Registered Art Therapist
Strong communication and documentation skills
Inpatient psychiatric experience and ability to work with large groups preferred
