To be admitted to the aforementioned competitive selection processes, applicants must meet the following general and specific requirements.

General requirements:

a) To be at least sixteen years of age and not exceed, where applicable, the maximum compulsory retirement age.

b) Not to have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from the service of any Public Administration or of the constitutional or statutory bodies of the Autonomous Communities, nor be disqualified, either absolutely or specifically, from holding public employment or office by judicial decision, regarding access to the body or scale of civil servants from which the applicant was dismissed or disqualified. In the case of nationals of another State, they must not be disqualified or in an equivalent situation, nor have been subject to disciplinary sanctions or equivalent measures that would prevent access to public employment in their State under the same terms.

c) To possess the functional capacity to perform the tasks corresponding to the positions announced and not to suffer from any illness or physical or psychological limitation that is incompatible with the performance of the corresponding duties. Applicants recognized as persons with disabilities by the competent authority must provide evidence that their limitations are compatible with the duties of the positions they are applying for.

e) To hold one of the degrees or combination of degrees expressly indicated for each position. In the case of degrees obtained abroad, applicants must hold the credential issued by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science certifying the homologation or declaration of equivalence. In the latter case, if the equivalence is declared only at the level of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, an academic transcript and curriculum of the foreign degree must be provided so that the department responsible for the selection process may issue a report regarding the correspondence between that degree and the required qualification. When the declaration of equivalence corresponds to a specific degree, area, or field, the department may be consulted if doubts arise regarding the correspondence between the foreign degree and the one required to participate. If more than one suitable degree for access is provided, the Evaluation Committee shall determine, with justification, which one will be considered as the qualifying degree for participation and which one(s) will be assessed, where applicable, as additional merit.

The requirements established in these rules must be met at the time the application period ends and must be maintained until the moment the contract is signed.

a) An unfavorable report regarding their teaching performance as adjunctfaculty or in another non-permanent role; in such cases, the report must include sufficient justification and must be endorsed by the competent Vice-Rectorate in order to constitute grounds for exclusion and/or non-hiring.

Failure to correct the issue in due time and form will result in the applicant being considered to have withdrawn their application for participation in the competition.

Once the correction period has ended, the Rector shall issue a resolution approving the definitive list of admitted and excluded candidates, which will be published in the manner previously established. This resolution brings the administrative procedure to an end, and an appeal may be lodged under the terms provided in Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
