What You’ll Do

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Partner with existing clients to optimize digital advertising strategies and amplify the impact of Cox Media’s media solutions.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities while deepening relationships with existing clients through proactive outreach and upselling.
  • Sell customized advertising solutions across TV, digital video, streaming, display, social media, and paid search.
  • Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning and sustained revenue growth.
  • Educate clients on data‑driven strategies to elevate brands and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor guiding clients on digital and cross‑platform campaigns to generate qualified leads and achieve business goals.
  • Create and deliver compelling proposals that showcase the value and impact of Cox Media’s advertising solutions.
  • Develop an expansive book of business through prospecting—including cold calling, door‑to‑door outreach, and lead generation—and consultative account management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—creative, research, and digital—to deliver seamless campaign execution, optimize performance, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications in CRM systems.
  • Represent Cox Media with energy and excellence, whether in the office managing accounts or out in the field prospecting.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, competitor activities, and represent Cox Media locally to generate leads.

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience in a related field (or equivalent education and experience such as a bachelor’s degree with 2 years, or a master’s degree with up to 2 years).
  • Proven success in sales/business development—identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals and foster long‑term partnerships.
  • Ability to use data in developing and selling media strategies.
  • Skilled at presenting complex solutions in a simple, easy‑to‑understand manner.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining high client relationships and business excellence.
  • A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in prospecting new business and nurturing existing relationships through consultative selling and deep digital marketing expertise.
  • Success in developing strategic advertising solutions informed by the evolving digital and media landscape.
  • Proven experience selling multi‑platform digital advertising and media solutions and adopting new technologies in a fast‑changing environment.
  • Industry certifications and/or Google Ads certification.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering business excellence.
  • Comfort with hybrid work (3 in‑office collaboration days per week).

Compensation

Base salary: $28,600 - $42,800 per year. Eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $42,800 - $64,400.
