WUSA9, Washington, D.C.
WUSA9 is seeking a dynamic, charismatic, and deeply knowledgeable Sports Anchor/Reporter to join our team in one of the most passionate and competitive sports markets in the country. The ideal candidate embraces that we are a local newsroom that tells impactful, human-centered sports stories rooted in the culture, history, and heartbeat of the DMV.
The ideal candidate is a multi-platform performer who shines on linear broadcasts, creates compelling streaming content, and engages audiences throughout the day with mobile updates and social shorts. We are the official television partner of the Washington Commanders, and the successful candidate will bring a proven track record of covering major NFL teams in a large market. You know how to break news, elevate analysis, and create memorable storytelling moments that resonate with fans and non-fans alike.
You should be comfortable shooting and editing in the field when needed and thrive in a collaborative newsroom environment.

- Engage audiences across social platforms with mobile‑first content, including shorts, quick updates, behind‑the‑scenes insights, and real‑time fan interaction.
- Collaborate with producers, reporters, and digital teams to plan coverage, specials, and long‑form storytelling.
- Shoot and edit video in the field when needed.
