CLINIQUE ULTA Beauty Advisor/Artist Freelancer – San Jose, CA
As a highly skilled freelance sales associate, you will provide makeup application, skincare advice, hair or fragrance consultations, and deliver a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in‑store experience that educates and delights customers.
You will work as part of a high‑performing team, contribute to in‑store events, and ensure the store meets high standards of visual merchandising to stand out against competitors.
We welcome dynamic self‑starters seeking a progressive career opportunity. Certification in makeup artistry and/or prior retail makeup experience is desirable but not required; we also welcome beginners. Expertise in fragrance, skincare, and hair consultation is highly valued, but we are open to applicants looking to develop these skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide makeup application, skincare advice, hair, or fragrance consultations to customers.
- Deliver an inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service experience.
- Participate in in‑store events and support visual merchandising standards.
- Work retail hours, including days, nights, weekends, and special events in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
- Retail experience preferred; applicants with amateur-level experience demonstrating creative and technical expertise are welcome.
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
- Experience with retail point‑of‑sale software.
- Must be able to provide proof of right to live and work in the country if invited to interview.
