Overview
The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, seeks a Video Producer / Editor to play a key role in bringing the Entertainment Community Fund’s mission‑driven stories, workshops, and educational content to life. The ideal candidate is both a strong visual storyteller and a meticulous editor, comfortable working in a small but growing in‑house studio environment and is excited to help shape the way the Entertainment Community Fund communicates with and supports performing arts professionals nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Create high‑quality, accessible video content across educational, promotional, and storytelling projects, executing post‑production from rough cut through final delivery, including editing, audio mixing, color correction, motion graphics, captions, and versioned exports for web, LMS, social, and fundraising use.
  • Work closely with the Learning Producer to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual stories while maintaining ECF’s brand standards and accessibility requirements.
  • Support studio and on‑location production as needed and maintain organized project files, media archives, and delivery timelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–8+ years of video editing experience in a professional or high‑volume production environment.
  • Expert proficiency in Davinci Resolve or comparable NLE; strong skills in After Effects or comparable motion graphics tools.
  • Solid understanding of color correction, audio workflows, and post‑production pipelines.
  • Experience working with brand guidelines and accessibility standards (captions, readable motion graphics, etc.).
  • Strong storytelling instincts and an ability to shape narrative from interviews, voiceovers, and documentary‑style footage.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Exceptional organizational and file‑management habits.

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience with e‑learning, educational media, or nonprofit communications.
  • Familiarity with Storyline 360 workflows, SCORM deliverables, or LMS content delivery.
  • Knowledge of multi‑camera editing and syncing workflows.
  • Experience recording interviews or operating studio equipment.

About This Position

This is a full‑time salaried position based in the Entertainment Community Fund’s National Headquarters Office in Times Square, New York City.
