This role requires strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to adapt new ideas to enhance design and presentation quality. The designer must consistently deliver high‑quality, customized materials that accurately represent each client’s business and industry, ensuring the firm is always presented in a professional and visually consistent manner.
Essential Functions
- Design, customize, edit, and produce proposals, pitch presentations, and other client‑facing materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistent alignment with firm branding and design standards.
- Collaborate with Business Development team members to tailor materials to each client’s business and industry, shaping the visual approach that supports high‑quality pitch and proposal responses.
- Design materials for business development trainings, events, and internal initiatives, adapting existing templates or developing new layouts as needed.
- Maintain, update, and organize graphic files, templates, archived materials, and other collateral for ease of access and consistency across projects.
- Coordinate with proofing teams to uphold brand voice, accuracy, and consistency in all creative output, and ensure accuracy in final products.
- Format, edit, and enhance photos, images, charts, and other visual elements; maintain the firm’s image libraries.
- Support the preparation of printed materials, including sourcing specialty paper, folders, or packaging for in‑person business development meetings.
- Coordinate with external vendors for outsourced printing and production, ensuring deadlines, quality expectations, and budgets are met.
- Develop and maintain templates, style guides, and specifications to promote consistency and increase team efficiency.
- Stay current on design tools and best practices, bringing forward new ideas, technologies, and approaches to enhance the team’s output.
- Ensure accurate application of firm brand standards across all media, including proper use of the firm’s logo, color palette, typography, and layout standards.
- Prioritize multiple active design projects, gather necessary information, and manage timelines to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Coordinate with outside design firms, when necessary.
Qualifications
A degree or certification in graphic design or a related field, or comparable training gained through additional work experience. Five to seven years of related experience are required. Experience designing for professional services—legal, consulting, financial, or similar industries—is highly desirable, especially with client‑facing pitch and proposal materials.
Must have a strong understanding of branding and its components to ensure brand consistency, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and rapid versioning while producing high‑quality, accurate, brand‑consistent work under compressed timelines. Must be able to manage projects and meet deadlines across U.S. time zones, work collaboratively and iteratively with team members, and effectively self‑manage workflows while communicating progress and flagging issues early.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Premiere), Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Pro, and Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint) is essential. Familiarity with AI‑enhanced design tools—Adobe Firefly, AI features in PowerPoint, Canva, and Figma—is preferred. Working knowledge of content management and e‑communication platforms, including Vuture, WordPress, or custom CMS, and familiarity with ShareFile, is considered a plus.
The salary range for this position is $92K to $113K. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Full‑time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
