Organizational Unit

The USF Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) is one of the world's largest, freestanding simulation facilities exclusively dedicated to training students and healthcare professionals. CAMLS education and training activities are designed using simulated environments; evidence-based best practices; instructional design methodologies; and learner evaluation performance metrics. Learners are able to experience a representation of a real health care event for the purpose of practice, learning, evaluation, and testing, in a safe environment using state-of-the-art technology.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly-skilled Multimedia Developer with expertise in educational media production and digital marketing to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing the production of high-quality multimedia content and marketing campaigns to be used as part of CAMLS' educational offerings and outreach efforts. The Multimedia Developer will work closely with the marketing team, healthcare professionals, and course development teams to develop engaging content and creative concepts that will educate and resonate with our diverse learners and international clients. This position is a hybrid with some onsite work located at USF Health CAMLS in downtown Tampa, Florida. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with USF Health and CAMLS' marketing and public relations teams to develop and manage CAMLS' digital marketing strategy.
  • Oversee CAMLS' social media channels, including exploring and maintaining strategic and relevant social media channels, building digital communities, and developing integrated marketing campaigns that can reach targeted audiences, drive engagement, and leads for program bookings.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all multimedia content is consistent with our brand guidelines and values.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of multimedia campaigns and adjust strategies as necessary to improve engagement and ROI.
  • Serve as a proactive creator and contributor to overall written and visual marketing initiatives and maintain the editorial calendar for CAMLS.
  • Produce multimedia content such as videos, animations, infographics, podcasts, and other formats to be used as part of CAMLS' educational offerings, marketing, and outreach efforts.
  • Implement high-level production and post-production techniques, including multi-camera set‑ups, interviewing, lighting, editing, color correction, audio enhancement, animation effects, captioning videos to ensure accessibility, and other advanced production tasks.
  • Edit and optimize multimedia content for use across various platforms and channels, including social media, email, websites, and more.
  • Provide on-location photography and video coverage as needed, including documenting educational programs and gathering visual elements for use as stock material for marketing and communications collateral.
  • Manage and maintain media asset libraries, archives, and distribution systems to ensure content is appropriately tagged, permissions are correct, subtitles are integrated, and videos are shared with the correct channels.
  • Collaborating with USF Health and CAMLS' marketing and public relations teams to determine appropriate visual, textual and animated elements of projects.
  • Develop layout design and concept, create, select, and secure appropriate illustrative, photographic and sound materials; evaluate and modify media materials to achieve desired objectives and results and ensure consistency across teams.
  • Create original assets (graphics, copy, multimedia, online) for use in educational and marketing campaigns.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest multimedia trends, technologies, and techniques in healthcare marketing and educational media production.
  • Provide technical support and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in education, technical writing, digital media, or related field, with two years of experience in related positions; or, six years of experience in learning design, digital media or a related field. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
  • Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate (https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2023/1310) is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S.
  • SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
    • A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of direct experience required, not to exceed:
      • Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
      • Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
      • Six years of direct experience for a master's degree;
      • Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree;
      • Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree;
    • Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
    • Minimum qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including healthcare and marketing professionals and course development teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing multimedia content across a variety of formats, including graphic design, videos, animations, infographics, podcasts, and more.
  • Knowledge of marketing and social media analytics and ability to use data to inform and optimize multimedia campaigns.
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite - Experience updating web content via platforms like WordPress or similar.
  • Proficient in video cameras, lighting equipment, audio equipment and accessories.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
